hi
what do ghana and ireland have in common??
both teams were cheated on, a handball in each case. ireland should have qualified for the world cup,and ghana should have progressed to the semi finals.
great blogs, superb writing skills.

Wow!! Was I so proud to have had two sons who are former past pupils of St Mary’s when I attended Mass on Sunday in Bantama in Kumasi while working there with an initiative with the law Faculity of one of the Universities in Ghana. To see the lads so respectful and attentive and well turned out and participating in the cermony together with their teachers and adult members of the group was amazing.
Full credit to all involved especially Denis Murphy and Anne Cleary whose vision, commitment and dedication to development education in St Mary’s is outstanding ,inspirational and deserving of the highest praise and admiration. An outstanding achievement as ambassadors of the Spiritans in Ireland and a ray of real hope that significant change will come to the poorest and marginalised people, deprived of the most basic things like water, education and hope for a future and a chance to make it in life. The young men of Ghana 2004,2006 2008 and 2010 are their hope for a future. Don’t let the trips just become a memory and an experience- build a future for those are only a six and a half hours flight away from Amsterdam and who have so little but should have so much. Well done to all keep up the amazing work !!!
